Hi where you got off the train is the main spanish part of Benalmadena with a lovely square and church and cafes etc. The resort is on the coast road 20 mins walk as you stated. That is where many of the tourist hotels and bars are. On that coastal path if you go in one direction it will lead you to Torremolinos and the other direction takes you back to Fuengerola. So you are basically in the middle when on the sea front. Enjoy xx Jacqui

There is a lot of information missed here about Benalmadena… This town is a nice location for family with young children because there are many children area : 2 area in the nice park called « parque de la Paloma », two on the beaches, one near the station. There is a nice white pueblo, the Benalmadena pueblo, where you can get by bus in 15 minutes from the station. There is a gorgeous Castle de Colomares. You can join by train Fuengirola and Malaga and the airport. It is easy here to move by bus.

And FYI, once you get around the end of the marina, and cross a little rill, you ARE in Torremolinos, specifically the La Carihuela area. It's a nice mile or two walk along the beach from the Marina to the big outcropping that seperates two of Torremolinos' beaches.
Hi the beach restaurant you visited is very nice I go every day for lunch and a drink , the big guy is manhattan he owns the restaurant, just up from the train station there is a market every Friday, in the last few years the beach front had gone a bit quiet bar owners are blaming the big hotels for the all inclusive deals , nice place and I have not seen any trouble there regards Niall TD

Otherwise visitors will make mistakes if they visit these places. I first visited Benalmádena in 1970 when only one first class hotel. The Triton. When I first visited Mallorca in 1952, on s.s. Orcades cruise, there was no commercial airport. Lived in Benajarafe 2021/2022.

I’m assuming you’re not Spanish, but I’m sure you visit Benalmádena regularly (or perhaps you live there) which is obviously causing you a little grief at our pronunciation. As we said it was our first time there, I’m sure there was certain things you didn’t know on your first trip to Spain. I would guarantee if you were to travel the world there would be some pronunciation issues you’d find along the way.
